I just returned from Greece. I stayed in a little village where cats outnumbered the human residents. None of those cats are spayed or neutered and as a result many female cats were pregnant or had given birth (springtime) . Some of these mother cats were as young as 8 months, so just kittens themselves . No vets to be seen or heard anywhere. And this story is repeated all over Greece. Never seen so many cats in all my life. Some healthy, some injured, some old, many young ones. Almost all very friendly towards the feeding hands.Tourists as well as residents feed them, and the cats are all hunters (depriving wildlife) but in the winter many starve, apparently.

By far the best museum I’ve ever been to.
